This awesome vineyard wedding comes to us from Shannon Cunningham Photography! Today our story comes from the bride, Amy! Here it is:
Kepper and I met on a blind date! After 10 months of dating, Kepper popped the question on Christmas morning with a beautiful round brilliant cut diamond hidden inside of an iPod™ box. While Kepper was hoping for a spring wedding among the stunning blue bonnets in his hometown of Austin, Texas, I had visions of a 4th of July celebration in my hometown of Fairfax, Virginia. In January, Kepper and I visited Fredericksburg, Texas and after visiting Becker Vineyards, we knew immediately this was the perfect place for our 4th of July Texas Hill County wedding! With only 6 months to bring our wedding vision to life and being an out-of-town bride, I chose the amazing Jasper Eisenberg of Elizabeth Harris Events and quickly began planning! First, Kepper and I knew that we wanted our wedding ceremony to be held in a church. Jasper recommended a quaint Lutheran church nestled in the midst of the Lyndon B. Johnson state park and a dear family friend officiated. Sprout Flowers decorated the coral colored tables with apothecary bottles and maidenhair ferns surrounded by votives consistent with the timber frame vaulted ceilings, wrought iron chandeliers and large limestone fireplace of the Lavender Haus at Becker Vineyards. I knew I wanted the church and the reception to be filled with beautiful flowers and warm candlelight. I was so excited when I saw my wedding bouquet for the first time with huge, beautiful white peonies and roses and noticing that Michelle had incorporated my favorite flower of all time, hyacinth! Since I had been warned about the hot Texas summers, I chose a classic ivory Casablanca satin with lace overlay gown with a deep halter. I also loved my wedding shoes – sky blue heels! Kepper, a Commander in the United States Navy, chose to wear his dress whites with a change into a classic summer suit at the reception. Great music, good food, lots of love – all shared with their dear family and friends!
